A thirteen part series about a young Canadian
First Nations doctors mission across six continents to learn the
ancient knowledge of the natural world and meet the healers and indiginous
elders who keep the secrets. Dr. Daniele Bern is searching for the
natural healing substances and the wisdom, long thought forgotten,
of shamans and medicine men and woman. Her journeys take her from
the fringes of the Arctic Circle to the ancient homelands of the
Incas and Mayans, to lost valleys in Asia, South Pacific Islands,
New Zealand, Australia, the jungles of South Americia, to the grasslands
and the deserts of Africa.
